At SummerTies, we feel like dressing for work might not get it’s full due. Sure some folks really go for it, and we commend you, but all too often it becomes a ho hum deal, a chore, that must get done every day. But it doesn’t have to be! Sometimes it’s a joy to just surprise yourself. Try a new pattern, a new cut, a new color. It will make you feel different. You could become more daring, inspiring your coworkers to speak up when they might not. You could become more trust worthy, closing a big new client. But most likely, it will be a small gesture, a “Hey great tie,” or “Is that a new suit?” A small confirmation of what you’ve done, some fuel for the small talk fire. As the great transcendental thinker Ralph Waldo Emerson once said… “Being perfectly well dressed gives one a tranquility that no religion can bestow.” We could not agree more.
